Why I built Savvy Athletics.
A note from Coach Savanna Dickson.
After 15 years coaching across Premier and Elite-level youth programs, college, and high school, I kept seeing the same thing: players who needed more than their team practice could give them, and parents who didn’t know where to send them.
Team training builds the team. It has to. Coaches are managing 16 to 20 players, balancing tactics, fitness, and game prep. That’s the right job for team practice. But individual technique — the kind that turns a good player into a great one — needs space, focus, and reps that team practice can’t provide.
That’s the gap Savvy Athletics fills. Private and small-group training, capped at three players per session, built around how individual development actually happens: clear tactical themes, position-specific work, and enough reps to build real habits. Not a clinic. Not a drop-in camp. A development environment.
I built it because I wanted my own daughter, Annabelle — currently playing ECNL at WPFC — to have access to this kind of training. And because the families I’ve coached over the years have asked for it, year after year.
If your player is committed to getting better, you’ll know within the first session whether this is the right fit. The standard is high. The coaching is direct. The growth is real.

What I Believe.
To foster a safe, fun, and winning environment that gives every player the opportunity to enjoy the soccer experience. Through positive attitude, teamwork, desire, and dedication — combined with economic training — we significantly enhance individual technique, tactical awareness, physical capability, and mental toughness.
The four pillars I develop in every player:
- Individual technique — fundamentals, ball mastery, position-specific skills
- Tactical awareness — reading the game, decision-making, team shape
- Physical capability — fitness, athleticism, durability
- Mental toughness — composure under pressure, resilience, focus
The four attributes I expect in return:
Positive attitude · Teamwork · Desire · Dedication
Training is economic — every minute connects to game application. No filler.
